Should I get an iMac or the new 2009 MacBook Pro 15"?
Hi. My desktop computer is getting real old(I think), it's like 4(ish) years old. The monitor's buttons are falling out, which are really annoying, and my computer is just real slow. So, I was thinking, if I do get a new computer, should I get a desktop,
Desktops give you more power for less money. Also, consider the difference in screens - the iMac has a nice monitor, while you'll have to use the smaller laptop monitor on the MacBook or else shell out for an external one.

While targeting a more pro-oriented user, it lacked some features of its sibling standard comparable prices: the missing PCI slots and a full-length AGP slot, had fewer memory slots, and do not have integrated audio / out.
